Flurys is a historic tearoom founded in 1927 by a Swiss couple, Mr. and Mrs. J Flury. Located on Park Street, it is the grande dame of Kolkata’s café culture. With its high ceilings, pink-and-white decor, and view of the busy street, it offers a slice of European elegance in the heart of Bengal. It is most famous for its English Breakfast, served all day, which includes bacon, eggs, sausages, and toast. The bakery counter is legendary, featuring Rum Balls, Almond Cubes, and classic Baba Cake. During Christmas, the queue for their rich plum cake stretches down the block.
